SEND in Schools Workshop (for Bristol Residents)

Tuesday 5th February - 10.30am - 12.30pm

Are you a parent or carer? Do you have a school aged child at a BRISTOL school? Have they been identified as having special educational needs and/or a disability or are you concerned that they may have? Do you want to understand what school can do to support your child? Would you like to feel more confident about having conversations with school about your child’s needs? Despite support being put in place, is your child still not making progress? What next? Thinking about requesting an education health care (EHC) needs assessment? Do you want to know what information to gather? Then this FREE information workshop is for you. Come and meet your Bristol SENDIAS team, Supportive Parents, to find out more about SEND in schools and EHC needs assessments.

Aims for the workshop:

  • To understand how special educational needs & disability support in schools should work

  • To feel confident in having conversations with school

  • To understand what information should be recorded about the special educational needs (SEN) support your child receives

Please note, this event is aimed at parents and carers rather than professionals.
