Thank You - Working Together 

Our Working Together drop in event today for professionals was a great sucess thank you to all who attended!


North Somerset Support group Thursday 5th Dec 2013 7pm-9pm @ The Firs, St Barnabas Centre, West Hill, Portishead, BS20 6LN. 

Along with a mince pie or two we will be having a final look at the Draft SEN Code of Practice and providing you with an update on both national and local developments around the changes that the government have set out for SEN and Disability. These changes have not been easy to follow but it is important that parents understand what is happening and what changes will be taking place, if you would like to know more please do come along.


Delivering support and aspiration for disabled young people 

learning from pathfinder areas about how to deliver the special educational needs and disability reforms for 14-25 year olds. The guide click here sets out the learning from the local areas piloting the SEN and disability reforms. It aims to help all local areas get ready to implement the reforms over the next year and improve life chances for young people. Whilst the publication is aimed primarily at local authorities and their health partners, families may find it useful to read about what has been learnt in the pilot areas about improving life chances for young disabled people through the SEN reforms.
