Latest news about the Children and Families Bill from the CDC  

The Council for Disabled Childrens (CDC) Spring digest is full 
of interesting information, contains a very clear
synopsis at pages 7 - 9 of the Children and Families Bill
and sets out the schedule for it's passing
through Parliament to its planned conclusion
and implementation in 2014.

Support Group 19th February 7.30.-9.30pm The Firs Drove Road, WSM, BS23 3NX 

A reminder that Support group will be meeting at The Firs, Drove Road, Weston Super Mare BS23 3NX this evening 19th February, from 7.30 pm - 9.30 pm. Jenny Maxwell, N.Somerset Principal Educational Psychologist will be coming along to join us about 8.15 pm. Jenny is leading the Enhanced provision for pupils on the Autistic Spectrum and will be updating us on current provision.

Last few places - Information & Support Course for parents 

We have a few places left on our Information & Support Course for parents starting at 9.30am - 11.30 am 18th February 2013 for four weeks (ending 11th March.) The sessions will be held The Firs, St Barnabas Centre, West Hill, Portishead, BS20 6LN.  Please email us or ring 0117 9897724 to book a place. These courses are free, but we do ask that you commit to attending all the sessions. They are open to all parents of children with SEN and you will have the opportunity to go on to take our phase 2 course once you have completed this one.
