Support Group Meeting, 17th January 7.30-9.30pm @ The Firs,St Barnabas Childrens Centre, Portishead BS20 6LN

A reminder that our support group meeting will be taking place on Thursday 17th January 7.30 pm at our new venue, The Firs, at St Barnabas Children's Centre in Portishead. The Firs is the building to the left of the Children's Centre, there will be a Supportive Parents notice on the door. Parking is available either on street, or there is a car park just across the road. For your sat navs the postcode is BS20 6LN.

We are expecting the Judith and Stephanie Community Paediatric Nurses for Specialist Community Childrens Services. They will be able to explain more about their role in the SAND assessment, (School Age Neuro Developmental Assessment). The SAND assessment is used to diagnose Autism and ADHD/ADD.  I hope you can join us.


Draft Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) Consultation Period has been Extended Until Friday 25 January. 

The consultation period for the draft South Gloucestershire special educational needs and disability (SEND) strategy 2012 – 16, was due to end on 21 December, but has now been extended by South Gloucestershire Council until Friday 25 January.
