A reminder that Bristol West MP Thangam Debonnaire (pictured) is holding an Autism Surgery on Friday 15th September. If your or your family are affected by autism, this is your chance to raise your concern with your MP. Venue: BASS Advice Service, Create Centre, Bristol, Time: 12.30 - 3.00pm.

Saturday 16th Sept “Walking out of darkness" event in Weston

Supportive Parents' staff are busy preparing an exhibition stand for an event this Saturday 16th Sept. “Walking out of darkness" is taking place in Weston, organised by CLASP, to raise awareness for mental health issues, which are on the rise. The event features a 10K walk, numerous attractions near the pier and an exhibition on Beach Lawns. Do go along to Beach Lawns and say hello to Sarah, Kirsty and Kate. North Somerset Parent Support Group Thursday 14th September, 7.00 - 9.00pm a The Firs, St Barnabas Centre, West Hill, Portishead BS20 6LN.

Come along and meet our local area co-ordinator Sarah Trevitt, share your concerns and meet other parents in similar situations to yourself. We look forward to seeing you there.

NEW! Bristol Support Group

We are holding our very first Bristol Parent Support Group on Tuesday 26th September, 12.00 - 2.00pm at our offices in central Bristol: Royal Oak House, Royal Oak Avenue, BS1 4GB.

This will be an opportunity for parents and carers of children and young people with SEND living in Bristol to come along and meet our Bristol team, chat to other parents in similar situations, share your concerns and discuss the format/location of future meetings. Tea and coffee provided.

We'll be in the ground floor meeting room of our building, next to Cafe Gusto. Press the intercom buzzer for access. For this first meeting it would be really helpful if you could let us know if you will be coming along, so we can anticipate numbers.
