North Somerset support group on 12th of March

Supportive Parents - SEND Information, Advice and Support Service Support group meeting is taking place at The Firs, St Barnabas Centre, West Hill, Portishead BS20 6LN on Thursday March 12th from 7-9pm. Will Britton who runs Inclusive Media Solutions specialising in differentiating Mobile Technology for the Learning Disabled community, and his colleague Adam Burley from Burley Inclusive, who works to support Person Centred Planning, will be joining us to talk about their work in developing unique mobile technology products that promote independence and communication for Learning Disabilities. Supportive Parents coffee Afternoon at Brooks Cafe on the 24th of February 1-3pm


Supportive Parent's Chair, Carolyn Sims receives a cheque of £550 from Patchway Townswomen's Guild

We would like to thank the Patchway Townswomen's Guild for their generous donation of £550. We will be using this money to enhance our helpline and reach out to more families in the future. Supportive Parent's Chair, Carolyn Sims receives this cheque on the 4th of February 2015.


North Somerset CCG consultation events

North Somerset Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG), together with North Somerset Council and NHS England has begun the process of procuring a provider of Community Health Services beyond 1 April 2016.

The scope of service includes, but are not limited, to:

All community-based Adult Services

Some Community Children's Services, such as Health Visitors

Specialist Community Services, for example, Parkinson's disease services.

Any service which can demonstrate and deliver the CCG system-wide savings

This contract is currently held by North Somerset Community Partnership - you can find out more about the services it provides on the CCG's behalf
