National Autistic Society (NAS) - new Forum

NAS are setting up ‘The North Somerset Autism forum’ through a partnership involving Healthwatch North Somerset,  North Somerset Council, and the community learning disability team.

The role of the forum is to bring together people with an autism spectrum condition, who want to influence the services they receive and those they would like to see available in North Somerset. These views will then be fed in to the North Somerset Autism Strategy Group by 1 or 2 representatives chosen by the forum.

This is a new and exciting opportunity for people with ASC to have a say in the services they receive and those that are available to them, so if you know anyone that would be interested can you pass this email onto them and if necessary support them to contact me, so we can build a list of interested people, so we can get this forum started!  Interested parties do not need to be in receipt of NSC services. Click here for poster and presentation

The new North Somerset Autism Forum is initally aimed at adults so 18 +, but Nikki has said she would be interested in hearing from young people and parents of children under 16 who have Autistic Spectrum Condition who would like a similar opportunity. If you are interested please contact Nikki Williams on 01934 412575 or 07795 475823 www.autism.org.uk
