Contacting Supportive Parents
Our Information, Advice and Support (IAS) staff are all trained in SEND law.
We operate a ‘first come, first served’ system and usually contact people in the order that they have contacted us. If you have left a message, we aim to call you back within two working sessions. We often give ongoing support, using a team based approach. We aim to help you understand more about SEND processes, the law and what you can do to make a difference.
We will support you to:
- Feel more confident and understand the SEND process
- Get your views heard and raise your concerns
- Feel well prepared when dealing with paperwork and attending meetings

Our dedicated Information, Advice & Support (IAS) line is open from 9.30am – 4.30pm, Monday to Friday.
If the line is busy you can leave a message on our answer phone, which is also available outside of hours.
If you leave a message, we will do our best to call you back during the next IAS line session. We return all calls in the order that they were made, but please bear in mind that during particularly busy times, this may take us longer. Whilst we often give ongoing support, we can’t guarantee that you will be helped by the same advisor each time.

Using our form will make sure we have the basic information we need to help you. If it’s a straightforward or urgent query we will aim to respond during our next helpline session. We aim to respond to all enquiries within two working sessions. Let us know if you need to speak to us urgently.

Please include your child’s age or your age if you are a young person, which authority you live in (Bristol, North Somerset, South Gloucestershire or other) and a telephone number. You will need to complete the Data Protection box at the bottom of the form confirming that you have read and understand our privacy notice otherwise your form will not be submitted.
